Aqualogic Lago® is a very reliable and economic alternative to the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in concrete.
Conventional pond treatment plants benefit, above all, from their large volume and the corresponding diluting effect. For the most part, biological degradation only occurs in this case at the contact zone water/bottom sludge.
A central component of Aqualogic Lago® is the reconstruction of an existing pond into an SBR-pond in which the activated sludge, required for the biological cleaning process, can then be enriched. The treatment stages, the oxygen input and the required mixing are operated dynamically by an integrated control system.
Either a fine bubble aeration system or surface aerators are used for aeration, depending on the technology already installed and the depth of the water. Where necessary, the ponds are sealed with concrete or lined with long-life HDPE foil.
Aqualogic Lago® is individually integrated into the existing pond treatment plant, taking the local conditions and requirements into consideration, so that optimal results are achieved.
The process is suitable for both aerated and non-aerated pond treatment plants which are the size of a population equivalent of 100 to 5,000.
As with the Aqualogic Lago® system a part of the existing wastewater pond is no longer required for further biological wastewater cleaning, it can be purposefully used for other tasks.
If the pond treatment plant exhibits a very high inflow of mixed sewage water, then rain or mixed water treatment, for example, can be effected.
