Johnson Screens Super-Vee™ Deep Set Screen

Johnson Screens' Super-Vee™ - High capacity water well screen for wells that are more than 2000 feet deep.

Insights

In the past, there has not been a wire wrapped screen option that could meet the strength criteria for deep water wells. Johnson Screens' patent-pending Super-Vee™ screen design allows installation of a wire wrapped screen to depths over 2000 ft.
Depending on slot size open area of the Super-Vee screen, is 2 - 5 times that of louvered screen, which allows for:
  • Optimal transfer of energy to the formation and filter pack to improve well development,
  • More open area to reduce well losses associated with higher entrance velocities as a result of well clogging,
  • Lower operating costs over the life of the well due to better efficiency and less drawdown.
Johnson Screens' Super-Vee water well screens have a superior open area to any other deep well screening device while affording collapse and tensile strength approaching standard slotted pipe or louvered screen.
Johnson Screens' patent-pending welding technique, assures 100% of the design tensile strength is available throughout the attachment of several fitting options.
